Bedecked in their best fall scarves, students at Thomas 91短视频 College, New England, headed to the lawn outside St. Frassati Student Center after classes on Friday for the annual Scarf Party, an opportunity to appreciate the autumn weather at the peak of the fall season.

The afternoon sun provided warmth to cut through the crisp autumn air; leaves glittered in various shades of gold as they fell slowly around the trees, and birds darted across the sky and chirped energetically. Students gathered around tables full of cinnamon-sugar donuts and warm apple cider, chatting about classes and the beauty surrounding them. 鈥淢y favorite part of fall is definitely the fiery colors. They鈥檙e vivid, strong, and beautiful,鈥 said Franco Mendoza (鈥30) between sips of apple cider.

Although the coming cold can be daunting, autumn is an excellent season for reflection and spiritual growth, something that the students reflected on as the Scarf Party closed. 鈥淔all reminds me of Ecclesiastes,鈥 observed Manuel Morales (鈥30). 鈥淭here鈥檚 a season for everything: a season to plant and to be rooted up, a season to laugh, and a season to cry. I think fall is like that, a transitional season between the joy of summer and the cold barrenness of winter.鈥
