Sipping tea

To celebrate the feast of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the women of Thomas 91¶ÌÊÓƵ College, New England, gathered in Wilson House on Wednesday evening for tea, home-baked pastries, and close conversation.

A warm, cozy atmosphere complete with china cups and saucers, fresh baked goods, and an assortment of spiced herbal teas welcomed the women to relax after their day of classes and schoolwork. The ladies filled their cups and plates, then picked a seat on a couch or chair and settled in to talk with their friends.

Intense conversation

For the students, this was the perfect opportunity to get to know the female tutors and tutor wives in a communal environment. Although everyone enjoys events such as dances, lectures, and sports, the women were glad to have an event to build deeper connections amongst themselves. As they headed back to their dorms later in the evening, they pondered the sainthood of St. Thérèse and the conversations of the evening, appreciating the mid-week reset before their morning classes on Thursday.
